Prince William and his new wife will visit California after they leave Canada in July as part of their first foreign trip.
Royal officials said William and Kate plan to spend three days in California, beginning on July 8.
The couple have returned to their routine lives following their lavish wedding in London on Friday.
The prince is back working as a helicopter rescue pilot for the military and has reportedly taken part in two operations since returning to the job.
Military officials said William was part of a four-man crew on a Royal Air Force Sea King which airlifted a 70-year-old man with a suspected heart problem to a hospital Wednesday. Later, the helicopter rescued four hikers after one of them experienced vertigo.
Kate, who is now known as the Duchess of Cambridge, has been out doing the couple's shopping. Front page photographs published on British tabloid websites Thursday showed her pushing a cart at an upscale grocery store in north Wales where the couple lives.
