Jet-setting pooch on world tour after rescue
Oscar the globe-trotting dog has visited more than 30 countries with new owner
An adventure-seeking dog rescued from a South African kennel one day before he was due to be put down has embarked on a World Woof Tour with his new owner.
Oscar, a 10-year-old mongrel, has already logged more than 150,000 kilometres of air travel and visited more than 30 countries. The lucky pooch would have been put to sleep if not for owner Joanne Lefson, who has taken Oscar on as a travel buddy for her mission to visit international pet shelters and raise awareness about animal adoption.
The pooch's postcards photos include shots from iconic world landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Grand Canyon and the Great Wall of China.
