A Venezuelan designer has created a new coffee cup that can be disposed of inexpensively and in an environmentally friendly way — by eating it.
The edible "Cookie Cup" was created by Enrique Luis Sardi for the Italian coffee company Lavazza.
"Sip the coffee then eat the cup," the Sardi Innovation website says.
The cup is made of pastry that is covered with a special icing sugar that works as an insulator. This makes the cup waterproof and means it can be used as sweetener at the same time.
