When actress Vanessa Hudgens performed in Fox's TV musical Grease: Live Sunday night, it had been just a day since her father died of cancer.

It would be understandable if she had given a distracted, lackluster performance while dealing with the intense emotions that come with losing a parent.

However, her take on Grease's Rizzo garnered rave reviews.

Celebrities like Anna Kendrick and Demi Lovato took to Twitter to compliment the starlet.

Hudgens' Spring Breakers costar Ashley Benson tweeted that she was proud.

Boyfriend Austin Butler and sister Stella Hudgens also lent their support.

A few of Hudgens' High School Musical co-stars sent some Twitter love her way.
