Cinnamon rolls, buns and loaves sold as part of school fundraising drives in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, contain undeclared milk products and could pose a serious danger to people with milk allergies.
Mom's Pantry Cinnamon Rolls have been recalled because they contain undeclared milk. (Canadian Food Inspection Agency)A voluntary recall has been initiated by Winnipeg-based Creative Food Products, a wholesale supplier of bakery goods.
The company's Matthew Penner told CBC News the recalled products are prepared using milk, and the error lies in the packaging, not the preparation.
He couldn't say how many of the frozen pastries were distributed. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the products have been sold in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
The distributor, Mom's Pantry, provides food products which are sold as part of school fundraisers.
The affected products include Creative Food Products Cinnamon Loaf and Cinnamon Buns, and Mom's Pantry labelled Cinnamon Rolls.
