Farmers are spraying milk onto fields across the Czech Republic to protest low prices.
Agriculture authorities say farmers are planning to dump up to 500,000 litres of milk, or seven per cent of their daily production.
Farmers complain milk prices are too low for their operations to survive.
They receive below 36 cents for a litre, but they say a fair price would be at least 60 cents.
Chairman of the agriculture chamber, Jan Veleba, has warned that some 40,000 jobs could be lost in the next two years if the situation does not improve.
Thousands of farmers across the 27-nation European Union are facing a financial crunch because of collapsed milk prices and seek more EU help and quotas to drive up milk prices.
