Motorists who held off filling up at the pumps Thursday were in luck Friday morning.
Gasoline prices dropped by more than four cents a litre overnight in some cities across Canada.
According to Gasbuddy.com, gas could be found on Friday in Edmonton for as little at 88.9 cents a litre, in Kitchener for 92.8, in Toronto for 92.9, and in Montreal for 96.4.
But even though prices dropped in Vancouver, the cheapest gas was still 105.9 in that city.
The price of a barrel of oil dropped almost $2.60 Thursday and it was down another 30 cents Friday morning to trade at $66.43 US a barrel.
Liberal MP Dan McTeague says demand for gasoline is weak because the economy is in so much trouble.
McTeague, who keeps an eye on the oil industry, says it appears the speculators and Canadian refineries are finally getting that message.
