Dunn's smoked meat may contain listeria: CFIA

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to consume certain Dunn's Famous brand smoked meat pouches because they may contain listeria bacteria.
The meat is sold in one-kilogram packages containing six pouches of 175 g bearing the stamp UPC 4 00007 55699 7 and best-before dates 2008 NO 01 and 2008 NO 02.
The meat was sold at Costco in Quebec, the Atlantic provinces and in Ottawa. There have been no reported illnesses associated with consumption of the meat pouches.
The pouches are made by Les Salaisons Desco Inc. of Boisbriand, Que.
For more information, consumers can call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342 or TTY 1-800-465-7735 for the hard of hearing, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday.
