The privately owned airline, which currently serves Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, said in addition to adding the new Newark route, it also hopes to introduce service to as many as nine U.S. destinations, including Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cincinnati and Cleveland.
Porter announced in March that it will offer summer service to Halifax from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal between June 29 and Sept. 4.
