American slider Katie Uhlaender captured her second World Cup skeleton race in as many weeks with a victory Thursday in Park City, Utah.

Maya Pedersen of Switzerland came in second, while Canada's Michelle Kelly finished third.

Uhlaender led after a first-run time of 50.11 seconds and was the last to go on the final run. The pressure didn't get to the 22-year-old, however, as she posted the fastest start time of the day and coasted down the worn-down course in 50.79 for a combined time of 1:40.90.

Uhlaender is the daughter of former major-league outfielder Ted Uhlaender, who played for the Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.

Pedersen followed in 1:41.29, while Kelly, a native of Fort St. John, B.C., clocked 1:41.60.

The Top 3 result helped Kelly make up for last week's misfortune.

The former world champion was disqualified from the opening World Cup of the season last week in Calgary because her sled was 200 grams too heavy.

Calgary's Lindsay Alcock was fourth in 1:41.90, while Carla Pavan of Lethbridge, Alta., finished seventh (1:42.00) and Amy Gough of Abbotsford, B.C., 10th (1:42.24).
