The Calgary Stampeders signed receiver Marc Boerigter on Monday.
Boerigter was one of the team's heroes in its 2001 Grey Cup win over Winnipeg, catching a 68-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Marcus Crandell in the first half.

Boerigter played for Calgary in the 2000 and 2001 seasons before heading to the NFL, where he spent four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. His best campaign south of the border came in 2002, when he caught 20 passes for 420 yards and eight touchdowns.
The 28-year-old most recently caught on with the Indianapolis Colts but didn't see any game action.
