Warring Congolese factions have signed a deal to end a four-year civil war that has killed an estimated 2.5 million people.

At its peak, the conflict involved armies from six different countries fighting for and against President Laurent Kabila.

When Kabila was assassinated two years ago, his son Joseph began efforts to end the war.

Under the new deal, Joseph Kabila will remain as president of the Democratic Republic of Congo for at least two years.

Four vice-presidents will come from the government, the political opposition and rebel factions.
