Police won't say anything about what type of weapon was used or about the evidence found in the car.
On the night Rowbotham was last seen, she was supposed to be driving to the grocery store. RCMP Sgt. Steve Saunders says police still don't know if she ever made it to the store.
"So far we haven't had any luck in that area," Saunders says.
"We do have the Safeway security video, but we haven't been able to confirm through the use of an Interac card, Safeway Club Card or Air Miles, that Bev in fact arrived at the Safeway in Selkirk."
Rowbotham's body was found in the back seat of her car, which was parked behind a gas station in the south end of Selkirk.
Members of the RCMP major crime units in Winnipeg and Selkirk continue their investigation.
