The members of Great Big Sea are upset about the use of one of their songs in his campaign. At a rally in Ontario last night, the Alliance blasted the crowd with the song called "Ordinary Day".
But no one asked the band's permission.
Louie Thomas, manager of the group says he's been in touch with Alliance to ask it not to use the song again.
"Regardless of what the band's or my political views are, we're not interested in getting involved in the (political) process," Thomas told CBC Radio on Tuesday.
"The issue with us is that these people (with the Alliance) take it upon themselves to go ahead with this without any regard for the fact that it is copyright infringement. . . That's a major problem with us."
Frank Hall, an adviser to Day, said the song would be pulled from the campaign.
"It's a great song, played by a great band -- but it was one of 10 songs played at the event," Hall said. "We won't use it anymore."
