The company that billed itself as "the Island publisher" is pulling up stakes and heading for Toronto. Ragweed Press/gynergy books has been sold to Balmur Book Publishing.
Ragweed was founded on P.E.I. 11 years ago by Louise Flemming. It has published over 70 titles of mostly a regional nature.
Balmur Book Publishing is a joint venture of Balmur Entertainment and Stoddart Publishing.
The head office for Ragweed will move to Toronto in January 2001.
