Some Regina students got a chance to be Olympic television stars Wednesday. But they had to get up pretty early in the morning to do it.

The students took part in a live video chat with Moose Jaw swimmer Mike Mintenko Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. Saskatchewan time. The conversations were broadcast live on CBC television.

The students spent the past few days preparing questions for the swimmer.

"I'm going to say, 'Hi, Mike. My name's Nicole. I was wondering if it would be possible when you get back from Sydney to come to our school for a visit and tell us about your Olympics experience in Sydney," said one girl as she prepared for the event.

"I was wondering what he thinks about the new body swimsuits that they can wear," said another boy.

If you missed the live chat with Mintenko and host Ron Maclean, you can catch it online at CBC's Olympic Web site.
