Multimedia giant Rogers Communications has bought control of The Blue Jays baseball team for $160 million from Belgian beer-maker Interbrew.
Former Metro Chairman and one-time Sun Media head Paul Godfrey takes over as the team's president.
The move raises hopes that a deep-pocketed new owner will help rejuvenate a team that has fallen on hard times since winning the World Series twice in the early 1990's.
