Stockwell Day is in Aylmer, Quebec, meeting with his caucus and discussing the transition of power in the Alliance Party.

Day is not a member of parliament, and needs to find a riding in which to run for a Parliamentary seat in a byelection.

He hasn't decided where to run yet, but he has made one decision: when he wins the seat, he will live in Stornaway, the official residence of the leader of the Opposition.

Former leader Preston Manning sparked a controversy when he moved into Stornaway. Manning had earlier vowed not to move into the residence, describing it as one of the trappings of power.
