The man who was president of Swissair when flight 111 crashed off Peggy's Cove almost two years ago has suddenly resigned his position.
Jeffery Katz was only at the helm of the Swiss national airline for one year when it suffered its worst air disaster.
Katz visited Nova Scotia many times after the crash to meet with provincial officials and family members of the 229 crash victims.
No reason has been given for his resignation.
