When Paul Bernardo's former lawyer, Ken Murray, went into Bernardo's St. Catharines house to get the incriminating videotapes, he wasn't alone.

He was with lawyer Carolyn MacDonald and his office manager.

On Monday, the court heard from his former office manager.

Kim Doyle recalled making a trip to Bernardo's house in 1993 with Murray and another lawyer.

Murray was advised by Bernardo to go to his home and locate some hidden videotapes. Those tapes would later show the rape and torture of Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy.

Doyle said she remembered Murray removing a pot light from the ceiling and finding the tapes.

"After retrieving the tapes, I was numb, Carolyn and I hugged each other and I asked her what have we got," she said.

Crown Attorney Ian Scott asked Doyle if Murray ever told her what was on the tapes. She said he never did.

"I frequently asked him, 'what have we got?' I was continually told, don't worry about it," Doyle said.
