For the first time in 14 months, fishermen and boaters are being allowed back on the water where Swissair flight 111 crashed in September of 1998.

Investigators have been recovering tonnes of debris from the ocean floor, but police and the Transportation Safety Board say the recovery effort is over now and it is time for the so-called ''exclusion zone'' to be lifted.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.

The latest wreckage is being sorted, examined and identified. The safety board says it should help provide new clues.
