The family members of Swissair Flight 111 crash victims have won a fight to keep media at a distance during memorial services next week.

The provincial committee in charge of organizing memorial services was going to allow reporters limited access to the area where 24 coffins of unidentified remains will be buried next Tuesday.

But the decision was changed after a group representing family members asked for the ban.

September 2nd marks the first anniversary of the disaster off Peggy's Cove, which killed 229 people.
