Two bagpipers from the Halifax area are suing Swissair for loss of income in the weeks following the crash of Flight 111 off Peggy's Cove last September.
Jennifer Wilson of Halifax and Joanne Crosby of Lower Sackville say they could not play at Peggy's Cove for weeks because of the presence of mourners and media in the area.
On the days they did play, they say their income was dramatically reduced.
Crosby is a single mother and piping is her primary source of income.
The two filed the suit after Swissair refused their request for compensation.
