The peace process in Northern Ireland is looking shaky. For the second straight night, mobs in Belfast have hijacked cars and attacked police.
The trouble erupted in a Protestant part of town, after police blocked a controversial Orange Order parade Sunday.
Several hundred Protestants have been camping outside an Anglican church on the outskirts of Portadown, southwest of Belfast. Barbed-wire barricades blocked their annual parade before it reached nearby Garvaghy Road, a Catholic section.
The Orangemen say the standoff will continue until they're allowed to finish the parade along its traditional route.
For the past two years the parade season has brought violence to Northern Ireland. This year some Protestants feel especially threatened due to changes brought about by the recent peace agreement and power sharing deals.
