Biography
Bruce Edwards is a CBC radio producer based in Cape Town, South Africa. He was born and raised in Quebec City, and was a recording engineer and record producer when he first started working for Societe Radio-Canada in the mid-1980s. He moved to CBC's Washington bureau in 1992, where he spent more than 12 years. His productions have won some of the most prestigious awards in the industry, including Amnesty International’s Media award.
He has also been a field producer, travelling to hostile regions such as Haiti, Afghanistan and Eastern Congo. Edwards has worked from Northern Albania during the Kosovo war, Egypt and Saudi Arabia during the second Gulf War, South East Asia, the Darfur region in Sudan and both Indian and Pakistan controlled regions of Kashmir.
