Riding profile: Rouyn-Noranda-Témiscamingue riding is located on the Quebec-Ontario border and contains the following municipalities: Angliers, Béarn, Belleterre, Duhamel-Ouest, Fugèreville, Guèrin, Kipawa, Laforce, Latulipe-et-Gaboury, Laverlochère, Lorrainville, Moffet, Nédélec, Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Rémigny, Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, Saint-Édouard-de-Fabre, Saint-Eugène-de-Guigues, Témiscaming and Ville-Marie.

It also contains that part of the City of Rouyn-Noranda corresponding to the following communities: Rouyn-Noranda, Arntfield, Bellecombe, Cléricy, Cloutier, D'Alembert, Destor, Évain, McWatters, Montbeillard, Mont-Brun and Rollet.

The First Nations settlements of Hunters Point and Winneway and the First Nations reserves of Kebaowek and Timiskaming are also in the riding.

Riding history: The riding was created in 1980 from parts of Rouyn-Noranda and Pontiac-Témiscamingue ridings. There were only minor changes in the 1992 redistribution.

In the 2001 redistribution, Rouyn-Noranda-Témiscamingue gained part of the municipality of McWatters from Abitibi-Est (11 electors).

1995 sovereignty referendum: Yes - 54.37 per cent; No - 45.63 per cent

1981	Parti Québécois's Gilles Baril defeated Liberal Camil Samson by 3,915 votes.
1985	Liberal Gilles Baril defeated Parti Québécois's Baril by 1,385 votes.
1989	Parti Québécois's Rémy Trudel defeated Liberal Baril by 66 votes.
1994	Trudel defeated Liberal Monique Tremblay by 7,372 votes. He was appointed minister of municipal affairs and minister responsible for Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, Jan. 29 1996; minister responsible for Nord-du-Québec region, Jan. 29 to June 19, 1996.
1998	Trudel defeated Liberal Rémi Barrette by 3,531 votes. He was minister of agriculture, fisheries and food, Dec. 15, 1998 to March 8, 2001; minister of state for health and social services; minister of health and social services, March 8, 2001 to Jan. 30, 2002; minister of state for population and native affairs; minister for native affairs, Jan. 30, 2002 to Feb. 13, 2002; minister of citizenship and immigration, Jan. 30, 2002; minister of state for population, regions and native affairs, Feb. 13, 2002.
2003	Liberal Daniel Bernard defeated Trudel by 674 votes.
2007	Parti Québécois's Johanne Morasse defeated Bernard.
