| 1976, 1981 and 1985 | Parti Québécois's Jacques Brassard defeated Liberal Pilote. Parti Québécois's Brassard was re-elected in 1981 and 1985. He was minister of recreation, fish and game from November 1984 to December 1985. Whip from 1985. |

On Jan. 29, 2002, after meeting with then Premier Bernard Landry, Brassard and Joliette MNA Guy Chevrette resigned from cabinet and their seats in the national assembly, saying they would have had their roles diminished in the next day's cabinet shuffle.
