Riding profile: Jean-Lesage contains that part of Quebec City bounded by: the boundary of the towns of Beauport and Charlesbourg, the extension of St-David Avenue, Félix-Leclerc Highway (40), the St. Lawrence River, the St-Charles River, CN railway line, 18th Avenue, Lamontagne Avenue, Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard, Laurentian Highway (175) and the boundary of Quebec City and Charlesbourg.

Riding history: Limoilou riding was created in 1965 from part of Québec-Est riding. The redistribution before the 1989 election preserved all of the former riding and added 8.58 per cent of Montmorency. In 1992 redistribution, lost small area to Montmorency and gained area from Vanier riding.

In the 2001 redistribution, the riding named changed to Jean-Lesage. The riding kept 88 per cent of Limoilou, with the other 12 per cent going to Taschereau. Fifteen per cent was added from Montmorency. The southern part of the riding bounded by 18th Avenue, CN railway line, St-Charles River and 3rd Avenue (38,904 electors) went to Taschereau. In the north, the part of Beauport north of Signeuriale Street to Félix-Leclerc Highway (8,554 electors) was gained from Montmorency.
