Parti Québécois's Elie Fallu, incumbent from Terrebonne, ran here and defeated Liberal Nolan Filiatrault by 6,074 votes. Appointed minister responsible for citizen relations and for handicapped in December 1984; minister of cultural communities and immigration, October to December 1985.

1985

Liberal Madeleine Bleau defeated Parti Québécois's Fallu by 621 votes.

1989

Liberal's Bleau defeated Parti Québécois's Robert Dean. (Dean had been elected in Prevost in 1981; defeated there in 1985)

1994

Parti Québécois's Robert Kieffer defeated Liberal Monique Richer.

1998

Parti Québécois's Kieffer defeated Liberal Michel Binette.

2003

Liberal Pierre Descouteaux defeated Parti Québécois's Kieffer by 323 votes.

2007

Action Démocratique du Québec's Linda Lapointe defeated Parti Québécois's Rachel Gagnon.
