Riding profile: Located in the Mauricie region on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, Champlain contains the following municipalities: Batiscan, Champlain, Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan, Saint-Luc-de-Vincennes, Saint-Maurice, Saint-Narcisse, Saint-Prosper and Saint-Stanislas.

It also contains the part of Trois-Rivières corresponding to the towns of Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Saint-Louis-de-France and Sainte-Marthe-du-Cap as they existed up until Dec. 31, 2001.
