Riding history: The riding of Bourassa-Sauvé was created in a 2001 redistribution from the entire Sauvé riding and 57 per cent of Bourassa riding (18,541 electors). The remaining 43 per cent of Bourassa is now in Crémazie riding. Sauvé is the northern part of present Bourassa-Sauvé (32,548 electors).

| 1970 | Liberal Georges-Émery Tremblay won in 1966 and 1970. Appointed minister of Transport, 1970. He was later named president, Office of Quebec Highways, and seat became vacant Sept. 19, 1973. |
| 1973 | Liberal Lise Bacon defeated Parti Québécois's Yves Michaud by 3,889 votes. Appointed minister of State Social Affairs; minister for Consumers, Co-Ops And Financial Institutions; minister of Immigration. |
| 1976 | Parti Québécois's Patrice Laplante defeated Liberal Bacon. |
| 1981 | Parti Québécois's Laplante defeated Liberal Augustin Roy by 923 votes. |
| 1985, 1989 | Liberal Louise Robic won in 1985 and 1989. Appointed minister of Cultural Communities And Immigration; associate minister of Health And Social Services; associate minister of Finance. |
| 1994 | Liberal Yvon Charbonneau defeated Parti Québécois's Pierre Seguin. Charbonneau resigned in 1997 to run federally. |

Served as minister of Education, deputy premier, minister of State for Cultural and Scientific Development, minister of Intergovernmental Affairs. After he was told Intergovernmental Affairs would be divided between two other ministers, Morin resigned on March 5, 1984. |
