If you've been waiting with bated breath for the book on hockey Stephen Harper's spent years writing, you're in luck — a sneak peek is now available online.

Harper has reportedly been working on the book for years, regularly setting aside small amounts of time to get it done.

And while the MP for Calgary Southwest has avoided stating a preference for any particular NHL team, the book's title may reveal the team whose jersey he'd most likely sport during the playoffs — if this team ever makes the post-season.

A Great Game: The Forgotten Leafs and the Rise of Professional Hockey now has an official release date of Nov. 5 and a website, including a brief promotional video set to a soaring orchestral score.

Text flashes on the screen as the camera pans across old newspaper clippings and hockey cards.

"The origins of Canada's beloved game, its rise to professionalism, and the pursuit of the Stanley Cup by teams long forgotten. Told with a fan's passion by Stephen J. Harper," says the text on the website.

The book's publisher is Simon & Schuster Canada.
