Party Finance Watch: A flurry of post-last-minute filings, but more than 100 annual reports still MIA
A few weeks back, I posted a list of federal riding associations that failed to make the deadline for submitting their 2012 annual financial reports to Elections Canada.
Two weeks later, I can report that there has been some progress towards closing last year's books -- particularly by the Liberal Party, which still tops the truancy list, but did manage to file 57 of the 99 reports listed as outstanding as of July 31 -- but 128 riding associations remain on the overdue list.
