Orders of the Day - Wake up, precinct dwellers -- there's an MP on the loose!

The tumbleweed colony will be briefly evicted from the National Press Theatre later this morning as Liberal MP Kevin Lamoureux hits the stage to share his thoughts on cuts to refugee health care -- specifically, "its adverse impact on children and youth ," according to the advisory.

On the ministerial circuit, from east(ish) to west(ish), the daily rollout begins in Yarmouth, where Conservative MP Greg Kerr unveils new counter-homelessness measures in Nova Scotia.

Meanwhile, in Quebec, Industry Minister Christian Paradis hits Bromont to "celebrate the completion" of the MiQro Innovation Collaboration Centre, which was funded through the Knowledge Infrastructure Program.

Back in Ontario, Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver pays a visit to the Great Lakes Forestry Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, where he will "highlight the centre's accomplishments" at the opening ceremony for the new Insect Production and Quarantine Facility before heading off to Tenaris, where he will tour the company's tube manufacturing facilities, including the Glass Administration Centre.

Elsewhere in the province, multiculturalism parliamentary secretary Chungsen Leung consults Torontonians on "immigration levels and mix", and Justice Minister Rob Nicholson does double duty on behalf of his colleague, Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore, with arts and culture-related announcements in Peterborough and Kingston. 

Doing the honours on Moore's behalf up north, meanwhile: Treasury Board President Tony Clement, who hits Yellowknife with news of fresh federal funding to "boost tourism and strengthen the economy of the Northwest Territories," and provide "comment" on the "next phase" of the government's "roadmap for Canada's linguistic duality."

Moving west, Government House Leader Peter Van Loan heads to Whitecap Dakota First Nation with glad tidings on First Nations health services in Saskatchewan while in Saskatoon, Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz hosts a teleconference to "talk about the dawn of Marketing Freedom [sic] for the Western Canadian grain industry."

In Calgary, Human Resources Minister Diane Finley will make an "important announcement" at the Military Museums, which is almost certainly connected to similar events slated to be held at the Royal Canadian Regiment Museum in London, and the Royal Canadian Legion in Victoria, with Conservative MP Kellie Leitch and Minister of State for Seniors Alice Wong, respectively.
