UPDATE: Kenney's spokeswoman, Candice Malcolm, says he has come with charts to committee on multiple occasions, "as have other ministers in this and past governments. This is nothing new, and no one had a problem with the backdrops during the first hour of committee."

The graphs and visuals are used to make things more clear. Even today, former Liberal Minister of Immigration Denis Coderre said in committee that the graphs were helpful and should stay."

Colleague Payton notes that Coderre was pretty clear his problem was with the blue "Action for faster family reunification" signs, and not with the charts/graphs.

Double update: Malcolm responds to say that the signs "displayed the name of the program that was being discussed at committee... it displayed the name of a program, the Action Plan for Faster Family Reunification."
