Canadians are finding different ways to mark Jack Layton's death, from spontaneous vigils to leaving cans of Orange Crush on the Hill or at his office.
Art director Stuart Thursby, for example, created a few posters based on Layton's last letter to Canadians.

Other Canadians got creative with the flowers and tributes they left at the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill and at Layton's office in Toronto.
Ottawa's Shawn Dearn took this photo on Parliament Hill today (via Flickr). The NDP's surging popularity, especially in Quebec, during the last election came to be known as the Orange Crush.

Some of the vigils (assuming all times local):
8:00 p.m. Georges-Etienne Cartier statue at the foot of Parc Mount Royal in Montreal
8:00-9:00 p.m. Centennial Flame, Parliament Hill
9:00 p.m. St. George's Square, Guelph
6:30 p.m. Speaker's Corner, Kitchener
7:30 p.m. Lo Pub, Winnipeg
4:30-9:00 p.m. Bushwakker, Regina
5:30-8:30 p.m. Amigos in Saskatoon
7:00 p.m. Vancouver Art Gallery
8:00 p.m. NDP MP Denise Savoie's office, corner of Blanshard and Broughton, Victoria
Folks in Edmonton are holding their vigil Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the legislature.
