Parliament Hill Liveblog: Monday, September 20, 2010

Alright, so with the House coming back and all, I'm going to try something a little different, as far as keeping y'all up to date on the myriad happenings that go down on the Hill throughout the day: a day-long liveblog from the Hill, which will be sort of, but almost certainly not exactly like what Andrew Sparrow does over at the Guardian.

I'm still working out the logistics in my head as I'm writing this post, but the idea is to provide running commentary, as well as tidbits of actual news, breaking and otherwise, idle musings and anything else that seems worth sharing with the world, but doesn't quite meet the threshold for a stand-alone post, all in one convenient, constantly updated CiL window -- with the usual flash-free berry-friendly link, of course. I'll also be automagically forwarding relevant tweets from my twitterfeed

Don't worry, there will still be new posts throughout the day -- which, if I can get dlvr.it playing nicely with CoverItLive, will be linked from the running liveblog automagically -- and individual committees will still get their very own liveblogs, if only to spare those of you who don't want to have to wade through minute-by-minute accounts of every single meeting. Really, the whole concept is still very much in beta, but it seems like as good a time as any to take the plunge and go live.

Which brings us to today's liveblog. Now, remember, this isn't the usual event liveblog, so don't be surprised if more time than usual passes between updates, but be sure to check back regularly to catch up on all the precinct action that you may have missed.
