Okay, forget crime. What about accountability? Everyone loves that! - Liveblogging Stockwell Day at the NPT

After missing out on the minister's appearance earlier this week, in which he demonstrated exactly why it's a bad idea to hold a press conference unless you have something more substantial to deliver to the assembled media masses than warmed-over talking points on the continuing marvels of your government's Economic Action! Plan, I'll be front and centre -- well, actually, third row, to the left -- when Stockwell Day returns to the scene of the (not remotely unreported) later crime this morning -- this time, presumably, armed with an actual announcement on bringing a little more transparency to Parliament. How can that possibly go wrong? Well, the aforementioned reporters could decide that they're more interested in following up with him on those statistics he so cheerfully cited last time around, but what are the chances of that? (Don't answer that, you guys. We don't want to scare him away.)

Anyway, since I've been griping about inconsistencies in the lobby disclosure rules for ages, I'm actually kind of interested in what he has to say, particularly if he does intend to expand the list of Designated Public Office Holders to cover MPs, senators, and possibly even senior opposition staffers, so check back at 11:30 for full coverage!
