G8/G20 signage: $1.1 million must buy a lot of...um...wall coverings?

Not to add to poor Andrew MacDougall's woes, since he's obviously having a bad day, but nothing in his statement below actually disproves the figures in today's Sun column. It's just a very stretched out version of the same talking point. Signage is signage.

The cost quoted covers signage and backdrops for four international events: the G-8, G-20, B-20, and the Youth summit.

In total the backdrops will be used at seven summit venues, three hotels, and over 30 rooms.
