ShamWow! As seen in QP!

shamwow-cp-7302644.jpgJust about everyone knows Vince from the Slap Chop and ShamWow! commercials.

But did ya ever think the ShamWow! guy would make an appearance in question period?

Count on the NDP's clip machine, Pat Martin, to make it happen.

Martin was asking about a video Industry Minister Tony Clement recorded  -- seemingly to promote a green cleaning product in China.

Now Clement's office says he was doing no such thing.

But don't think that would stop Martin.

"All he needs now is a headset and he could be the next ShamWow! guy," said Martin.

That got everyone cracking up in the House.

Transport Minister John Baird chuckled and yelled at Martin for slamming the ShamWow! guy, while Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff was bent over with laughter.

And Pierre Poilievre, tasked with actually trying to answer the question amidst the guffaws, called Martin "the stand-up comic of Parliament."

We're sure Vince the ShamWow! guy won't mind.
