UPDATED - Look how interested we all are in green energy projects! -- Liveblogging Jaffer and Glemaud at Gov't Operations

So, as previewed in today's OotD, for two hours this afternoon, an otherwise unassuming committee room will become, albeit briefly, be the fixed point in the always tilting parliamentary universe as Rahim Jaffer and Patrick Glemaud appear before the Government Operations committee to field questions on what the notice rather vaguely refers to as "renewable energy projects funded by the government."

Of course, if there was any possibility that it was actually going to be about that, and only that, and not about, say, possible unregistered lobbying, there wouldn't be a lineup of journalists waiting to reserve front-row seats, now would there? Anyway, I'll be liveblogging, of course, so check back at 3:30 pm for all the action. In the meantime, catch up on previous Guergis Jaffer coverage here

(Housekeeping note: Look! We have working tags! Is that not the most awesome, if slightly nerdy, news ever?)

(Meanwhile, Karina Roman is liveblogging the Afghan committee meeting.)

UPDATE - I spoke -- and signed off my liveblog -- too soon: after initially departing out the back amid a sea of reporters, Jaffer and Glemaud decided to submit to the scrummening after all. You can watch how well that turned out here; history will eventually record whether this was, in fact, a wise decision on their part.
