New Brunswick loses its Power

It is kind of like the public policy version of the Wayne Gretzky trade.
The provincial government has signed a deal to sell large parts of its public energy utility to Hydro-Quebec.
Opponents say the Liberal government of Premier Shawn Graham is trading away something fundamental ... with the stroke of a pen.
The premier says he'll stand by the unpopular deal -- even if it makes his Liberals the first one-term government in New Brunswick since Confederation.
