Liveblog: The Afghanistan committee returns! Well, sort of.

As noted in today's OotD, the All-But-One-Party Committee on Afghanistan meets this morning to pick up where the temporarily prorogued investigation into Afghan detainee transfers left off last December. Well, sort of -- due to the lack of any formal power to compel the production of documents or summon witnesses, they can only hear from those who are willing to appear voluntarily, and testify without the protection of parliamentary immunity.

On today's invite list: University of Ottawa professors Errol Mendes and Colonel (ret'd) Michel Drapeau.

Given the keen interest that certain ten-percenter writers have in the subject under discussion, I doubt I'll be the only one watching, so check back at 10am for full coverage.
