- February 12, 2010 3:47 PM |
- By Kady O'Malley
... comes the following ever so slightly defensive, but admirably thorough response to a prorogation-related letter from a constituent, in which the minister assures her that he has been "hard at work on [her] behalf and on behalf of Canadians since Parliament recessed last month" -- even, as he goes on to explain, over the Christmas holiday weekend:
"In fact, with the terrorist attempt in North American civil aviation on December 25th, I worked for six hours on Christmas Day and signed new security measures at 4:30 am the morning of December 26th" - and "part of every day through the holiday period." He's also been at work "full time since January 5th."
