How press releases get noticed

It's not often we talk about party press releases. There are far too many of them to mention.

But when a little humour is included, well, then it's worth mentionning.

The NDP has been talking about pension reform for a long time.

So, when the party saw the Liberals in front of the cameras today calling for some significant changes, they couldn't help but notice that some of the ideas look a lot the same.

So they took one of their press releases from October and pretended they were Liberals.

They scratched out their leader's name, and stuck in Michael Ignatieff's.

They included funny, pretend comments on the side of the release from Ignatieff's Chief of Staff, such as, "This quote needs to be more Iggy..."

Whether or not you're on side with the content...there is no denying the creativity. And that's how press releases get noticed. Kudos to Jesse Brady, the NDP staffer who wrote it.
