So you think he can dance? The verdict is still out on that one.
Today Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited the set of the reality TV show, Dance Premier League, in Mumbai. While walking across the stage with his wife, Laureen, Harper tripped while waving to screaming young fans.
The prime minister recovered quickly though - perhaps a sign he has some deft dance moves.
Those were not on display though when he was asked to join a group of Mujra-inspired Bollywood dancers after their performance.
Harper and Laureen appeared to enjoy the music, but kept their dance moves to a sort of shuffle. When the music died down, the show's host asked Harper what he thought of the dance routine.
He replied, "If I were a judge, I would have given them a sixer."
I guess that's good because it caused the crowd to start screaming again and a group of children in traditional dress rushed the stage for a group photo.
There is no doubt the Conservative Party will give Harper a sixer for his performance, once the video and photos turn up prominently in Indo-Canadian media outlets back home.
The Conservatives have been very open about their strategy to try and win over different ethnic and religious groups in Canada. For generations, Indo-Canadians have been considered Liberal supporters...a stranglehold Stephen Harper wants to break.
All the dancing action on video here.
