Power & Politics: Question of the Day

kadystudio584.jpg

Here's Wednesday's Question of the Day: "Does anyone out there really care about the inner workings of the political parties, or the various leaders' offices?"

Hey everyone -- it's me -- Kady, that is. Just didn't want you to think you were talking to an auto-posting robot.

Anyway, I came up with today's QotD while hanging around outside the Liberal caucus earlier today: I know that as far as we -- we the media, that is -- were concerned, the shakeup in Ignatieff's office was the big story of the day, but how many of the rest of you -- even the admitted political junkies among you -- feel the same way? Do you see internal party politics as little more than fodder for the Hill berryvine, or do you think that it can provide a valuable, if occasionally opaque insight into what's really going on behind closed doors in the corridors of power?

If you happen to be a partisan -- or even just a supporter - or, for that matter, opponent -- of a particular party -- it certainly must be schadenfreudalicious to see the dysfunction in your rivals' offices laid bare. But what if it was your leader -- and his retinue -- who were under the media microscope?

Anyway, feel free to chat amongst yourselves in the comments -- I'll be popping occasionally as well, of course -- or break out the #CBCQotD tag and tell us - and the twitterverse at large - what you think. Once the show starts, I'll try to update this post to keep the conversation going throughout the broadcast.
