This riding in the Greater Toronto Area includes the southwest part of the City of Brampton.

It stretches from Highway 407, McLaughlin Road and Steeles Avenue in the south to Mayfield Road in the north, between Hurontario Street, Main Street North, Vodden Street East and Kennedy Road North in the east and Winston Churchill Boulevard in the west.

This riding was created in 2004 out of 45 per cent of Brampton West-Mississauga and 23 per cent of Brampton Centre, its neighbour to the north. It was the second major redistribution in 10 years in this fast-growing region. In 1996, Brampton West-Mississauga was created from Brampton West-Mississauga and parts of Mississauga West and Mississauga East.
