Riding Info
This Toronto riding is bordered to the south by Lake Ontario, to the north by Sunrise Avenue and the Don River, the old border of Scarborough to the east (Victoria Park Avenue) and Coxwell Avenue to the west.
In the 2004 redistribution, the riding added small areas from Scarborough, Don Valley East and Don Valley West. The Beaches riding was created in 1976, mainly from the former Greenwood riding, and became Beaches-Woodbine in 1986. Part of Don Valley East was added in 1996.

The former Greenwood riding was Tory from 1935 to 1958 and New Democrat from 1962 to 1974. The riding went PC in 1979 and was then held by NDP MP Neil Young for three terms.
