The iPad: Will you buy one?

Apple's iPad tablet-style computer will be available in Canada and eight other countries May 28.

The U.S. firm has revealed that launch date for the iPad in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K.
 
Consumers will be able to order the iPad starting Monday.

The Wi-Fi-only version will sell in Canada for $549 for the model with 16 gigabytes of storage, $649 for 32 GB and $749 for 64 GB.

The version that connects to both Wi-Fi and 3G cellular networks will sell for $679 for 16 GB, $779 for 32 GB and $879 for 64 GB.

Apple didn't say which Canadian cellphone company would carry the 3G signal, but Rogers Communications has previously announced that the 3G iPad will run on its network.
